A great piece on privacy and Facebook. I think it boils down to the fact that Facebook has done a terrible job of communicating to its users what the changes mean for them. As I said in my previous post, I hate what they have done but it’s a great site for staying connected to people; both personal contacts as well as professional ones. So, we all feel a little trapped but perhaps if they step up their efforts at communication, they might assuage people’s fears. As Ben Parr said,
“Mark, better late than never. You need to personally respond in an open letter on the Facebook blog.”
